Safety Guidelines
Welcome to our Safety Guidelines page.
At My Little Pony Experience, the safety and well-being of our ponies and guests are our top priority. We want everyone to have a fun and memorable experience while ensuring a safe environment for all.
Please take a moment to read through our safety guidelines below to understand how you can help us maintain a secure and enjoyable atmosphere during your visit.
Important Visitor Information
Before visiting us, please ensure you wear appropriate clothing suited to the weather forecast, as this is an outdoor activity. Closed-toe shoes or boots are essential for your safety and comfort. If required, we have spare wellington boots available in a small range of sizes, as well as horse riding helmets for those who wish to wear one around the horses. Your preparation helps ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all.
Parents and carers are responsible for their children at all times during visits to our premises. We kindly ask you to supervise your children to ensure the safety and the enjoyment of all visitors. Your cooperation helps us maintain a safe and welcoming environment for everyone. Thank you for your understanding and support.
Please familiarise yourself with our Rules and Key Points
We’d be delighted to welcome you to our sessions and parties! To help keep everyone safe and ensure everyone has an enjoyable experience, please take a few moments to read the following important information.
Personal Responsibility
You are responsible for yourself and anyone accompanying you during your visit. Participation in the session is entirely at your own risk.
Awareness of Animal Behaviour
Please remember that animals can behave unpredictably. There is always a small risk of injury such as kicks, bites, or other equine-related incidents when around ponies.
Safe Handling Guidelines
-
Always approach ponies slowly from the front or side, and never from behind.
-
Do not feed the ponies or put your hands too close to their mouths, as this can increase the risk of bites.
-
Do not stand close to their legs.
-
Please avoid jumping, shouting, or running around the ponies. Although they are very calm, sudden movements or loud noises can startle them and cause them to react quickly.
Following Instructions
Please follow all directions from our staff at all times and comply with health and safety requirements.
Medical Consent
In the unlikely event of an emergency, you consent to the person in charge authorising any necessary urgent medical treatment on your behalf.
Designated Areas
Please stay within the paddock and activity areas and do not approach, open gates or handle the ponies without permission from our staff.
Safety Awareness
Be aware of your surroundings and let a member of staff know immediately if you notice any hazards or anything that could cause injury.
Facilities
A portaloo toilet and handwashing facilities are located nearby for your use. Please remember to wash your hands thoroughly after handling animals and before eating or drinking.
Vehicles and Personal Property
All vehicles and their contents are left entirely at the owner’s risk.

Safety and Consent Before Sessions
Before beginning our sessions, we conduct a short but essential safety briefing. This ensures that all participants understand the safety measures in place, as well as the expectations during the session. Additionally, we require a consent form to be signed prior to participation. This is to ensure that everyone is fully informed and agrees to the terms, allowing us to create a safe and supportive environment for all involved.

Respectful Behavior
We ask all guests to treat our ponies and staff with kindness and respect. Please refrain from yelling, running, or engaging in any behavior that may cause distress.
It is important to remember that our ponies, like people are living creatures that deserve to be treated with care and consideration.
